Ballybeg Community Garden is a communal gardening project for experienced and learner gardeners from Ballybeg. Groups of friends, family members or course participants are given a small plot to produce their own fruit, vegetables and flowers. Gardeners are supported by past trainees who have knowledge of growing and by a CDP staff member.
The Ballybeg Women's Group meets every Wednesday evening here in the centre at 7:30pm and is open to new members. At the moment there are about 7 of us and we meet up for a cup of tea and chat. Many come along to teach arts and crafts like knitting, crocheting, a book club might be a lovely idea for 2017. (Small fee of 2 Euro)
